How to play Blackjack
Blackjack is a popular card game where the goal is to have a hand value as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it.
The game is played with one or more decks of standard playing cards.
Each card has a point value: numbered cards are worth their face value, face cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) are worth 10 points, and Aces can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on which benefits the player more.
The game begins with each player being dealt two cards, face up, while the dealer receives one card face up and one face down.
Players can choose to “hit” (draw another card) or “stand” (keep their current hand).
The aim is to have a hand higher than the dealer’s without going over 21.
If a player’s hand exceeds 21, they “bust” and lose the round.
The dealer must hit if their hand is 16 or less, and must stand on 17 or higher.
A blackjack (an Ace and a 10-point card) is the best possible hand.
